Clinical supervision is a requirement for membership of all the major hypnotherapy organisations and is generally regarded as essential to the provision of effective therapy.
Supervision is a structured support system that encourages the therapist to focus their abilities, learning and strength. Using a solution-focused approach I work in partnership with the practitioner to notice what works – their skills, abilities and creative ideas when working with clients.
Newly qualified therapists are expected to engage in this beneficial process for a minimum of 2 hours in any 3 month period during their first 2 years of practice. Thereafter, although ongoing supervision is encouraged, it becomes a voluntary process. Supervision may be conducted via one-to-one, a peer support group or a Zoom, telephone / e-mail arrangement where circumstance dictates.
I am a Senior Hypnotherapist with the GHR and also an accredited Supervisor with the ICH , one of the UK’s leading training colleges for Clinical Hypnosis.
Striving for best practice in hypnotherapy, supervision helps to elicit strength and resources of the therapist and appropriate care and accountability for the client.
A new supervision group is planned for January 2021 with a limited amount of places to enable the participants to have the space to explore and express personal experiences that may be brought up by work and move forward in all areas of their growth .
Please call me on 01628 633509 or e-mail me to discuss your requirements and how best I can help you to become a highly effective and successful therapist.
